Fundamentals
of Instructor Training FA/CPR/AED
Instructor Course Prerequisite: Must be at least 17 years of age by the end of the course; possess a current American Red Cross Fundamentals Instructor Training (FIT) certificate or a current instructor certificate in another American Red Cross Health and Safety Services course; upon successfully completing the precourse session, basic level certificates will be issued. Attendance at all sessions is required Precourse Session - The first scheduled meeting of each First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor Course is the precourse session, during which you will be tested on skills and knowledge. (Upon successful completion of the precourse session basic level certificates will be issued). To continue the instructor course it is necessary to pass written tests as well as skills demonstrations. Since all testing is based on the ECC 2000 standards, we strongly suggest that you take a basic level course(s) which includes First Aid, CPR, and AED skills. |
